HERITAGE CHORALE TO SING IN CANADA!

There is much excitement about Heritage Chorale’s 2012 Concert Tour to Montreal and Quebec City, Canada. Our three performances will feature music from our 75th Season concerts with programs geared to each venue. It will be glorious to sing in new locations before appreciative audiences.

On June 28, 2012, we will travel to Montreal, the largest French-speaking city outside of Paris. Modern Montreal is cosmopolitan and multicultural, featuring underground walkways lined with restaurants, shops and cafes. These walkways extend from four of the city’s subway stations through stores and office buildings, making underground Montreal a city within a city. Among the sites visited will be the Botanical Gardens of Montreal, which contain over 22,000 varieties of plants, and the Montreal BioDome, housing replicas of a tropical forest, Laurentian forest, polar region, and the St. Lawrence marine environment.

From Montreal we will travel to Quebec City, the most European city in North America, where French is the predominant first language. En route to Quebec City, we stop at Montmorency Falls for a gondola ride to the top and lunch at the historic Kent House. We will enjoy guided sightseeing tours of the city, including a panoramic tour of Upper Town and a walking tour of Lower Town, as well as visits to the Museum of French America and Our Lady of Victory Church.

There will be much to see and do, but the thrill of performing our music tops the list!
